James McMichen has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Kennesaw State University, a Master’s in the Art of Teaching from Columbus State University, and in May will hold a Specialists in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University.
Prior to transitioning into teaching, Mr. McMichen worked as a senior lab technician at Applied Paper Technology, where he performed qualitative testing on paper products for all of the major paper companies. He has also served at Kennesaw State University as a graduate research assistant in the area of Teacher Leadership, which involved researching strategies to develop more effective teachers and teaching communities.
Mr. McMichen's wife is also an educator, and they have four children: Everrett, Warren, Garrick, and Charissa. They enjoy getting outside, playing soccer, and checking out the latest comic book movies.
Mr. McMichen is passionate about teaching, and is excited to partner with your child in succeeding in the PLC program.
