Brad Barker

AA/Flex HS

Hello and welcome to my educational space! I’m Brad Barker and I’m excited to share my passion for teaching with you. As I enter my 14th year of teaching, I am continually inspired by the curiosity and enthusiasm of my students. My journey in education began with an undergraduate degree in Middle Grades Education from Berry College, and I further honed my skills with a Master’s in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University. I also attended Gallaudet University, taking language classes in American Sign Language.

When I took a break from teaching, I had the unique experience of working as an Education Technician for the National Park Service at Badlands National Park. This role allowed me to combine my love for the outdoors with educational outreach, fostering a deep appreciation for nature and history in students of all ages.

In addition to my teaching career, I am also a certified EMT. This background has equipped me with a practical perspective on problem-solving and a commitment to safety and well-being, which I bring into my teaching approach.

My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel empowered and excited to explore new concepts, and I look forward to working together to make this year both educational and enjoyable even in the virtual setting. I have high expectations for all students! While they are working with me, I want to see them earn high grades on assignments, be ahead in classes and not behind, and ultimately get their credit for the class so they are that much closer to graduation.

I teach a large number of classes which includes all Electives and Foreign Language classes.

Together we are working towards Success!
